The Humber Bridge Half Marathon was established by the Rotary Club of Hull and was first held in 1999. This prestigious race sees runners cross the iconic Humber Bridge, which is the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world that can be crossed by foot. In 2019 we attracted runners from all over the UK and abroad including Switzerland, Poland and Holland.
This event is voluntarily organised by by the Rotary Club of Hull . The Rotary club work closely with the HEY Smile Foundation, Rotary Club of Barton and LKR Events to bring this event to life. Since the beginning we have generated over £750,000 for charities and good causes, simply from entry fee surplus and sponsors after all event costs are paid for. This figure doesn’t take into account monies raised for charity by runners’ fundraising.
